The Savernake Cabinet

The Savernake Cabinet was developed to provide a bespoke storage solution to safely carry drinks, glasses and other items whilst in transit.  In addition a unique feature is the pull out under cabinet table which can be used for gun cleaning, picnics, seating and more.

With over sixty years of cabinet making experience, when commissioned by a client to make a luxury drinks entertainment cabinet and seating area for the back of his Bentley, LWB Bentayga, we immediately accepted the task.

The first step was to discuss at length the client’s requirements, which in this case, included a pull out shelf / seat for both sitting and serving.

After designing the cabinet, we ensured that the drawers opened fully to allow access to all the bottles, glasses and storage.

The cabinet was hand made using solid English oak for the carcase with highly figured burr walnut being veneered to the drawer fronts. The interior is fitted with lift out divisions that house bespoke bottles.

Such is the level of detail, when the labelled bottles are removed it is noticed that the figured walnut veneer continues throughout the interior.  In addition, the glasses are carefully housed and cushioned, so they are not damaged when the vehicle is driven over rough terrain.

There are of course other storage drawers and compartments which were constructed in the clients timber of choice.

This truly is a bespoke piece of furniture and no two will ever be the same.
